ANGELES TUCA

Diseñadora independiente que desde el año 2000 viene desarrollando proyectos de interiorismo, mobiliario y objetos.

Trabaja durante 4 años en Barcelona en reconocidos estudios de diseño y arquitectura.

Ganadora de 3 premios nacionales; en 2007 con «Espejo Polar», en el IV Encuentro de Objetos de Diseño, de Revista Ambientes-Recycla. En 2009 es premiada por DuPont y revista Ambientes con el separador de espacios «Cell Wall», el cual fue exhibido en la muestra «Experimenta el material», en Stgo.Diseño 2009. Recibe el primer premio Chile Diseño 2011, en la categoría mobiliario, organizado por QVID; Asociación de Empresas de Diseño.

Actualmente desarrolla colecciones bajo el sello de autor TUCA DESIGN, donde se enfoca en los procesos que otorgan significado y valor.

Sus diseños se han exhibido en museos como el GAM, y el MAVI, y en muestras como la 4ta y 5ta Bienal de Diseño en Chile. Cuenta con un showroom  y también comercializa sus productos en tiendas Casa Mía by Fernando Mayer, Composit, Todeschini  y Medular, entre otras.

Es docente en la escuela de Diseño de la Universidad Católica de Chile.

ANGELES TUCA

Angeles Tuca is an industrial designer with broad experience in projects involving interior design, furniture and objects in Santiago and Barcelona. She is a teacher at the Design School of the Universidad Católica de Chile. Winner of three national prizes; in 2007 with “Espejo Polar,” at the IV Design Objects Meeting of the magazine Ambientes-Recycla. In 2009 she won a prize from DuPont and Ambientes magazine with a “Cell Wall,” area separator, which was shown in the exhibition “Experimenta el material,” at Santiago Diseño 2009. She received the first prize at Chile Diseño 2011, in the furniture category, organized by QVID, Association of Design Companies.

She has developed various products under the SAVIA brand, and she is currently working under the personal trademark TUCA DESIGN, where she concentrates on processes that provide meaning and value. Her designs have been shown in well-known museums and cultural centers such as the http://www.gam.cl and http://www.mavi.cl, and at shows like the 4^th and 5^th Design Biennial in Chile. She is a teacher at the Design School of the Universidad Católica de Chile.
